Turn off water pumps and fountains before applying CrystalClear® Algae Off®. Apply granulars directly on to algae growth areas. Let it set for 45-60 minutes before turning on pumps. Remove any debris after treatment and wait at least 48 hours if second treatment is required. It is better to do several smaller treatments instead of one large as the Algae Off®n zaps the oxygen out of the algae thus killing it off.
Apply early in the day under calm, sunny conditions and when the water temperatures are warm. Sunlight and higher temperatures both enhance AlgaeOff®’s effectiveness.
