Low spot in yard gathers all runoff from street and neighbors.

Runoff runs down side yard creating muddy craters and streams headed to neighbors fence line.

Pond #3 needed to be torn out to make room for new pondless waterfalls storage system.

Filling in pond and starting to build up for new waterfalls.

Ditch area where initially all the runoff comes from. Site of new rain gardens to slow down and filter water.

Sand had to be worked into ditch area that had hard packed ground to improve absorption for rain garden.

The Rain garden is planted with aquatic plants such as pickerel, arrowhead, iris, lizard tail, cardinal plants and more.

Rain garden installed in ditch and connected to dry creek bed to carry away the water.

"Secret mountain" installed to the backside of the new waterfalls.

Area for 700 gal pondless waterfalls being dug. Ground brought in to build up for waterfalls.

Rain boxes snap together for easy assembly.

Underlayment is installed to protect liner from rocks and tree roots.

Liner placed in the hole making sure all folds are straight up and conformed to shape of hole.

Another piece of underlayment is placed on top of the liner before the rain stroage units are placed in the area.

Rain storage units are being placed. Pump vault is installed on edge of pond area.

View of new dry creek bed and pondless area rocked in.

After a 3.5" rain the rain garden is full of water but all excess runoff ran down dry creek bed to pondless storage unit.

... hole dug for 2000 gal storage unit was also completely filled. The sytem even though undone was a success!!!

Hole dug for 2000 gal storage unit. Divet in far side for pump vault. Rain boxes ready to go in.

Underlayment goes in hole first to protect the liner.

Liner placed on top of underlayment and another layer of underlayment on top of the liner before the boxes go in.

Double layer of rain tanks placed in hole. 64 rain tanks for 2000 gal of storage.

Tanks covered with underlayment before liner placed over the top. Liner will keep anything from going into the tanks since we are covering this unit comopletely.
